Need Help Bad

need to find the starter, and find out if that could be my problem. am 20min late for work and cant get it started, it sounds like it wants to turn over but doesn't quite make it.

i have a problem too...but my car starts and will idle until the choke goes off then i have to keep hittin the gas and it wont drive...wtf is with that!

I know how you feel, mine won't start in the morning, but once its started it will run Great all day and only smokes once its above 4-5k

Possibly battery cable? That happens.

Yeah, I would be checking for corrosion on the battery cable as a first step and then look at the starter. You don't want to overlook the simple things. Obviously that isn't the source of your smoke problem, but first things first.

Bi-carb and hot water washes scunge off terminals good.

well, just replaced the terminal 3 days before, so its not the terminal, is a new battery, cant check much more till Sunday when I'm off. might say to hell with it and have a mechanic take a look.

check your connection at the starter. Check your engine to frame ground. bad ground can cause a slow or no start.
