Tune it up and you should be able to beat him stock! But if you must ask whats the best bang for the buck MOD that you can do to your rotary it would have to be a header. I pull on my bros SIR Civic all the day long even with with him being a car length or 2 ahead when we start. But then again.........Thats another story! Anyways you cant beat a header!

[quote name='inuissus_cendi' date='Jun 9 2005, 03:37 PM']Maybe I'm mistaken, but I think you mean the AC condenser, not the front radiator. Getting rid of your radiator wouldnt be a good idea....

Otherwise sounds like good advice, might use some of those ideas myself.

I couldnt remember the name of the a/c condenser...........yeah that be crazy if someone would take the engine radiator off and expect the car to run longer than a few minutes. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

as painful as it is to admit, a relatively stock Gen I is not going to crush any half-decent driver in an Accord (1990 to present) without some serious modifications. you may beat him, but it won't be by much, just as he probably wouldn't be able to catch you once you get ahead.

$400 will get you started. i'd start with a header, presilencer and some decent pipes. you won't be able to get a Racing Beat muffler after all of that, but if you don't mind the noise you can try a steel-packed after-market unit (Magnaflow or Dynomax or something) - not sure on pricing, but you shold be able to eek by on your budget.

remove the Rat's Nest and get the Nikki tuned - that shouldn't cost much, if you don't know how to do it yourself. Use these forums that's what they are here for.
