When accelerating hard through the gears, my commuter tends soars up to 5500RPM and it more or less doesn't go any further. If I let off the gas, wait a few and go again, it's fine up to and beyond the redline. It happens quite frequently now, but never happened before. The fuel filter is three months old and is a Purolator. The rest of the fuel system, including the pump, is original and has a few hundred thousand miles of use. Whaddya think?
