well after 13 years and 144,000 HARD miles the engine in my gsl-se quietly lost an apex seal. this motor had seen 25mpg, 9500+ rpms, and most of the racetracks in northern california.



replacing it will be a gsl-se block with s5 na rotors and flywheel, i built the replacement in 99....

 

thats a bummer man.





she will live again though!

So you finally blew it. That is a good life. I remember back in the days when people would say "dont buy a rotary, You need to replace the points (apex seals) every 60,000 km's"

how you proved them wrong.

 

yes ive been trying to kill it for like 3 years now. havent changed the oil in like 2

 

i miss that car

 

it'll be running at the end of the week, sucks that we had to miss a track day though
