im going to look at a red 85 gslse today, what should i look for?

its got tan leather, wood grain, stock stereo, pretty much appears to be all stock. 215k miles. it turns over but wont start.

im already gonna be sure to check compression and spark and see if theres any fuel... what else should i look at? its been sitting for a few months, like 3 or 4.

you should look at the molding with a screwdriver, and then look at me as you hand it over

yeah im takin the old ladies new digi cam, the pics will be good, (haha old lady). the guy couldnt remember what color the interior was and finally made tan his final decision. maybe its brown? i really hope its not red, and black would be nice bc then it would match the vert.

if the outside is red then it could be either brown, red or grey. there's three different reds too.

the rh sunrise red, is the normal red, 90% of the time it comes with grey

the "brick red" i see it about 30/30/30 with red interior, brown, or grey

the burgandy red ive never seen with brown, seems to be about 70/30 with grey and red

the body is pretty good, a few dings on the pass. door. the paint is dull all over, oxidized on the roof, and cracked at the back, wax would make it look a lot better. the tail lights are missing the covers on both sides. the hatch latch is missing, but the hatch was dry and its been raining here. the weather stripping on the doors is not too good and the carpet is a little damp at the edges. the interior is overall pretty good, its maroon leather. the seats are good, the drivers is split on the bottom, but not too badly. the hatch carpet is pretty dirty but not torn or anything, the compartment lids are off and i dont know if theyll go back on easily.

ok so it wont start. there is spark at every plug. when i pulled the plugs out, (just pulled the trailings) they are dripping with gas/oil. not a lot of oil but it was there. also, when i pulled the plug out, on each housing, the gas/oil runs out of the hole a little, keep in mind that this is on the trailing plugs. the engine is very very flooded. the plugs arent that old and they are black. the plugs are ngk but they dont look like the ones i use, they look more like a normal plug, but the ones with 4 things on top, like the bosch platinum ones. anyway i didnt know where the egi fuse was so i didnt try to unflood it, plus i didnt want the guy to see it start if it was that easy. each rotor has good, even compression, yay! i think thats about it except the pics.

the pic of the engine that has the white circle could be a problem. that nipple on that thing(i dont know what the thing is) doesnt have anything on it, is this normal? the green one next to it looks just the same except it has a hose on that nipple. when you crank the car, fuel, not much, comes out of here. he said that nothing was connected there and that he thought thats what the problem was. the last time the car ran he said he pulled into the driveway and it started running weird and it either died or he killed it and now it wont start, basically i guess that just means that its probably not only flooded. he left the key in the car and ill prob go back tomorrow to try to start it or work on it some more. the good thing is that its at his ex wifes house so hes not there.

p.s. ive got more pics if you guys want em, im on dialup and the pics are hi res.

p.s.s. i may have left some stuff out, just ask and if i know ill tell you.
