got rid of the rats nest and air pump monday. I am very happy with how well it turned out. only thing that sucked was that the only plate steel we had was 22 gauge for the block off plates so I had to clamp the ACV over top my plate to get it to seal up right. oh well, any one that needs a rats nest with working selonoids or an air pump lemme know.

 

I've had ok results with 3/16" aluminum sheet before. I also removed the studs and replaced them with some spare oil pan-length bolts. The threaded section was a little longer than typical 1st gen oil pan bolts.

 

AH HA!... nice, i'm doing the exact same thing to my 12A tonight actually.

 

ya, I'm gonna get some 10 guage or something and make a new plate but for now it works just fine. next project is getting the big *** dent out I got from some jackass hit and runnin on me.
