Limited Slip Compatability

can the limited slip differential from the 1985 rx-7 be bolted into a second generation car, or are they totally different animals?

the actual differential carrier is interchangeable from 84-91 and 94-02 miata. you cannot swap the whole differential/grears/housing from fc to fb though

Dear guys, sorry for putting that in the general discussion, I was unsure of what catagory it belonged in. The reason for the question is that I already possess both a gxl and the rear end from a gsl-se- in fact I'm getting more rx-7 cars and parts than I have places to put them. I realise the solid rear axle will not swap, or be even desireable in a second gen car, but if the actual limited slip could be utilized it could save me some cash. Is it compatable

so the answer is yes the center section is interchangable.

I thought it was the other way around???Oh well.If I get this S5 GXL it'll be a daily driver anyways.My FB is a gas hog. :bigthumg: Yum power. :yum: :twisted:
