I totally agree. When you say serious power what do you mean. 300-400? When you are sub 2000 and have tons of power that would be scary. Don't forget that if you are putting down some power you are also going to want a rear-end that will hold it. That will add another 50-100lbs unless you spend the 2k on the guru one. At 400rwhp and 2000lbs would be insane... Yeah 78-79 is the only 1st gen u will ever find that was made light because they had no power mirror/window, only power hatch & a.c.
