Greetings,

I have an 84 12a manual...its pretty much "stock"...and i'm leaking clutch fluid like mad...the container on the master cylinder drains out in about 2 days from just...setting...seems to leak when im goin down the road too...but not really much more than usual...i've got tons of fluid in my drivers side floorboard...and i'm not really sure to go about fixing this...its done it before and just...stopped leaking...but now i've almost gone thru a whole big bottle of fluid...so its startin to worry me...is there some sort of seal or hose on the inside of the firewall i need to replace...or perhaps i need to just replace the cylinder unit itself?

Either way i gotta do something fast...this leaking fluid everywhere thing is getting very...very...old...any help would be appreciated

Well it's a pretty simple system. You've got the clutch master cylinder and a line that goes to the slave cylinder, then the slave cylinder.

Since you've got it on the floorboard I would guess that it's the master cylinder, but with them only being a few bucks each I would replace both. It's a pretty easy task.

Where exactly would i find them for a few bucks each?...the local parts places have the master cylinder for 55 bucks and the slave for 30...which seemed a bit steep to me...is there a place online i can order them? Seems like mazdatrix had the whole assembly for 50 or 60 something...which may be the best deal...i'm not sure...write me back if you get a chance. Thanks.

Mazdatrix has them for $57 and $36. I'd go to the local parts store and get them. Prices are pretty close and you get a warranty.
