Hi all

I have an '84 GSL that really jerks around when I let of the gas. It doesn't buck or surge but just kinda rocks more than I would like; not real smooth. I'm thinking it might have something to do with a bent driveshaft or just plain worn out driveline, since I've never changed the tranny or diffy fluid in the 7 years I've owned her (I know I'll get around to it one day.)

Does anyone have any info on the coasting valve? Maybe a brief description how to check it, where its located, and if this sounds like it could be part of my problem?

Thanks much

when it does this do you leave it in gear or in neutral? if its doing it in gear try taking out of gear and see if it still does it.

mine used to do it but not in neutral it ended up being the u joints on the driveshaft
