first, would it be possible to transplant the interior panels from the doors of a gsl to gs 85?



second has anyone tried to install the carpeting kit from VB?



lastly, i saw a guy on the road with a first gen and instead of the stock panel that goes between the rear taillights he had a red reflector piece with RX-7 written in it, anyone seen that before?

 

I can't personally say i've ever tried this...but isn't the gs just a gsl with fewer factory options?...and if so then I don't see why the panels wouldn't switch...as long as they come from a 1st gen...I'm pretty sure the doors are a different shape on the 2nd gens



I'm not sure what a carpeting kit from VB is...unless thats the brand or something...the previous owner of my car caught the rear interior on fire...burned quite a few holes in the rear carpet...so I went and picked up carpet simliar in color at lowes...but if you don't have one...any huge hardware store should do



As for the rx-7 reflector...I'm not sure...unless it was some sort of special edition thing...but that would probably be one of the very early 1st gens...I've seen a new at a local "graveyard"...very strange looking in the rear



or the other possibility...which would be more likely...is the driver either broke the center piece and didn't want to pay the almost 200 dollars they charge for a new one...or the driver got bored with it...and replaced it with the rx-7 logo painted on it

It would probably be best to take a closer look at the car if its local somewhere so you can get a better idea of what it is.

and the rx-7 piece looked like the type of thing you would see in the center of eclipse taillights, except instead of fake lights it said rx-7. i saw the guy driving around havelock, nc could have been local, but the only one like it around here ive seen didnt have a monster hood scoop like this one
