Honestly, if your concerned w/ MPG - you would need to look into a better commuter car, rotary engines (especially the older they are) are not friendly on MPG...

heretic got 30mpg in his old fb. overinflate the tires, align it. good exhaust. additionally he found his odometer was way off...

No O2 sensor on GSLs.I wouldn't overinflate the tires, but I would invest in good tires and inflate to the pressure marked on them. My Jeep's Yokohamas take 50 psi max - I inflated them to 50 psi and gained a mpg.



Clutch fans don't rob a lot of horsepower, unless they lock up. Then they rob about 5hp. I went electric when my clutch fan crapped out and started free-wheeling, but the damage to my motor was done. I much prefer electric fans, but that's my opinion. I still run a fixed fan on my big Cadillac, but then a 5hp loss is only 1 percent.



A cold air intake is a good idea. In cold weather you have to properly warm up your car before you drive it to prevent carburetor icing, but you should properly warm it up anyways.
