Someone said to me that you can swap a Turbo II Hood onto an FB with a minimum of hassle. Is this true? If not, what would I need to fabricate? The reason I wanna know is because the TII Hood has a Hood Scoop. And I can get my hands on a 13B TII Engine quite easily for a swap. And seeing as the intercooler utilizes the hood scoop, might as well. Any suggestions?

I believe the hood is too wide and the contour is off in such a way that the fab mods would ruin the scoop. Maybe leaving the hood alone and running a FMIC on the TII engine would be a better alternative...

Just goto cpracing.ca and order a replica TII scoop. Its alot easier

Accually that would probably be a better option. Alot better of an option, thanks.
Oh heres another quesiton, you know those lock lug nuts some cars have to prevent people from stealing their rims - you need like a special key to get them off. Any other way to get them off (distructively if nessesary). I got one on a single wheel on my car lol and I can't change my tyres until I get it off. I'll need a replacement lug, but I'll worry about that later. Maybe a good set of vice grips? Or welding torch on the extreme side of options(I dont wanna torch my car though). |
Have you tried welding a wrench or bolt on to it?I know theres a few ways other than torching it(Although I do work one of the biggest fab shops on this end of canada).I would try welding something to it that you can grip with a wrench first before you fry something with a torch.

smack a socket on the lug nut
|
or take it to a wheel shop alot of times they'll have the keys......
|
a wheel shop is a good idea.. i have also seen them use air chisels to get them off.. but it depends on the type of rim.. cuz some dont have the clearance for using that..
|
use an air hammer w/ a wide chisel bit, a few hits, it'll spin right off.
