Hey just wanted to say wasup to everyone.....I own a 1982 Mazda rx-7 GS......I LOVE THIS CAR!!!! its good to finally meet others with the same 1st gen intrest as i do......well since i am here i had a quick question for you guys......My drive shaft took a crap on me and i actually found a replacement for it. This used (but good) driveshaft i found is from an 83' rx-7. Mine is an 82...will this fit onto my FB with no problems? Thanks in advance guys for any help you can give me..

Hey welcome to the board! Just for starters, if you have a 1st gen try to post in the 1st gen forums so the thread doesnt have to be moved on ya. I dont see why that driveshaft wouldnt fit your car, the trannys really never changed much in the 1st gens.

Unfortunately, that driveshaft will not work. You need to get a driveshaft of of a '79-'82 car. The difference is that they changed the size of the flange on the rear end (and driveshaft) starting in '83. Good luck and welcome to the forum.
