Well I am still trying to get my cd player working and here are the only things i've done so far this morning that could've made my rpm guage stop working I am guessing. I took out all the fuses and checked to make sure none of them were blown and they were all good. I took out the driver side cubby to see the amp and rear speaker wires located back there but didn't disconnect anything just looked. Lastly I was just trying to see if there was any wires that could've maybe been not connected and saw what looked to be like a fuse and a 4 connecter under the shift boot so I thought for some odd reason maybe it would do something so I connected the 2 fuse thingys togeather tried and got nothing. Now I started up my car after I disconnected the fuse thing again and my rpm guage doesn't work. What the hell happened? Can anyone please help me I am having so many problems here all I wanted to do was install a cd player. I thought somethign was off when I turned my car to the on position to see if my cd player would work. Also none of the red lights came on on the dash when you have the key to the acc or on position which freaked me out. None of my turn signals will come up on the dash or any of that stuff however if i press the hazard button they will work. Help anyone?

try the meter fuse, also make sure you put all the fuses back in there right, the cover is hard to understand.

are the other gauges working?

Yeah I put all the fuses back in and out 1 by 1 so I know they are all in the way they came out. Here is what the fuse numbers are in each one which doesn't seem like how the cover fuse thing says.

LH - RH

20 10

15 15

20 15

10 20

30 30

15 20

----15

(had to put the -- in there so i could put the 15 on that side)

Now I changed the ACC ones so they were right a 10a for cigar and 20a for radio antenna but I still am not getting any display on my cd player only their is power going to it. Also my rpm guage does still not work. I haven't driven the car yet from all these problems so I am not sure if the speedometer works or not yet.

check the trailing, the tach feeds off of it.

the engine does turn on, and idles and runs, correct.

if the engine turns over and runs fine, then my first guess is trailing plugs/wires.

I highly doubt it would be my spark plugs because I just did a tuneup on it a week or 2 ago and it's been running great. Changed the spark plugs, distributer and cap, air filter. I am pretty sure it had something to do with me plugging togeather those things under the shift boot. Check out what I mean look under your shifter boot and there will be like a 4 connecter and then 2 fuse looking things i connected those and I think that i what messed everything up but I cant figure out what to do?

the tach runs off of the trailing coil, so its possible that you messed something up that just now came loose. check the connections on your coils and make sure everything is tight.
