Ive never had the money to do it any other way. HERES A TIP IF YOU DONT HAVE AN ENGINE STAND AND YOU NEED TO GET THE FLY WHEEL OFF:

Dig up(uncover)about 6 or 8in of a good size root in the yard and set the engine in front of it on a blanket with the flywheel sitting right on top of the root. Take a chain and bolt it to the flywheel at about 2 or 3 O'clock then go around the side(edge) of the flywheel and make a loop around the root at the bottom and again go back up the other edge of the flywheel and bolt it to the 9 or 10 O'clock position. make sure its tight. Now you can put 300lbs on the nut without so much as a budge from the engine. This actually works better than the engine stand since it cant take that kind of rotation either. And this really comes in handy when your trying to tourqe it back on.

Ive got pictures of me doing it on my other computer.

My father freaked when I dug a root up in his yard but he hasnt covered it back up and he's used it on three different motors since he seen me use it for the rx.

My mother still wants the root covered.
