Cool

I got myself a parts car tonight, series 2 with a shitty engine and a less than glamourous body, its unlicensed and blows smoke, but the important thing is, its almost exactly the same as my 84!(minus the sunroof). I'm kinda glad we Aussies didn't get the new dash for the 84-85. Everything is the same, including the power windows and mirrors and stuff. Actually, the interior is in a good condition, this car is a stocker, even more stock than my stock 84.

I have no pics as yet, as I just got it and its too dark for proper shots.

I got a parts car, STOKED!! :bigthumg:

Haha the old resto page.

I'm not planning on cutting the whole back half off, but I am using parts off it, for the 84. The bonnet(hood) is in mint condition, no rust at all, and the interior mouldings(although full of spider webs) are in a heap better condition than the ones in my 84.

I've inspired one of my friends by giving him a drive in it and he's now planning to buy off me whatever I have left once I finish. (Thats partly why I'm not chopping the rear half).

Yeah, unfortunately, once you get close enough to see how its been resprayed and that all the panels have cracks through the paint with orange seeping rust... well, you get the idea. The parts I need are there though, so I can justify the expediture, also one of my friends is buying whatever I don't use for his own project later. He can deal with the body. :smirk:
