If your going to be running an 48 IDA expect to get horrible gas mileage and expect poor throttle response down low, but works very well in higher RPM's. BTW, I have a 6 port 13B IDA manifold if you still want one!

so ive heard about the throttle response problem, what can i do to counteract that.

and how much are you asking for the manifold?

defprun 04-05-2005 11:55 AM

If your carb's tuned properly you dont have to worry about cold weather at all.

defprun 04-05-2005 11:57 AM

Your "cold" weather. Usually its humidity that does you in more than anything, but you live in Texas.

185 for the manifold shipped to your door. It is in excellent condition. As for the carbs thats the way that they are, they are made for high RPM and race applications. But they are real sweet up in the RPM's and can handle all the power you can make. Let me know. Carl

Your wrong!! You must be talking about stock carbs. Sidedrafts or downdraft no matter if they are tuned or not wont like running in the cold weather. Carl

I know this well.My weber is not properly tuned and I can still start it in -20 arctic weather. When it gets colder it has a hard time trying to turn over let alone carb problems.Carbs are good in any weather if they are setup right.I live in the middle of BC so I can speak from experience.Just got to plug them in at night.
