Default Gauge cluster not getting power

On my 82 GS, I have almost nothing on my cluster, nothing except the hazards and a single light that reads "exhaust overheat". I have no back lights, no gas gauge, no oil pressure or temp, no rpm, any ideas? My best guess is a buggered wiring harness, because I pulled the cluster and took it to a local shop, and it checked out, so I'm unsure of what to do
