does any body knows if a second gen gas tank fits a first gen car? more like a 86 tank on a 80 car

anything will fit in any car...... its how big your wallet. but honestly, i have no idea my guess is no

Like Cletus said, its not going to be a bolt on, but if you were dead set on putting it on there you prbably could with some fab work.

u see this is the problem i own a 80 sa and im trying to ressurect it after 4 years of storage it has a race tank but i want to drive it on the street so im looking for a tank. A friend of mine is parting a 86 second gen and i was going to try and fid out if the bolt patern was compatible and the shape otherwise im still looking for a first gen tank.... if anybody has one and want to sell please let me know.....

why not keep the race tank??? besides haveing to fill up every 5 gallons.

You will need an SA tank, 79-80. The FC tanks have the filler neck on the opposite side.
