Hey, can anyone snap a quick pic of the fuse box cover that would fit an '85 S? It has two rows of fuses with 7 fuses each. I'm havin' some electrical problems and I need to figure out what some of the fuses are and I don't have a damn fuse box cover! Thanks.

Also, whenever I try to replace this one blown fuse (20A), it'll spark and blow immediately. What could be causing that? A short or something?

The wiring in this car is EXTRA SHITTY.

Thats exactly whats causing it. You either have two bare wires in your harness touching or you have a bare hot wire going to ground. Look in the back of the manuals (revisions section) for wiring diagrams. Dont be afraid of them. If you sit and stare at them for a little while, they actually start to make sense.

Go here and try to find your diagram. They used to have full manuals for download. If you can find the 84 manual, Its on page 357, Bottom left hand side.

I was going to cut and paste a pic of the fuse box but the site wouldnt let me.

I had a problem with my fuse (a 20 amp) for my fuel pump blowing all the time. I fought with that for a month, looking at wires replacing the fuel pump you name it. eventually found a spot in my engine loom the was getting crushed by my throttle linkage and rubbed a bare spot in it. a place to look I guess LOL. hope you find your problem
