Okay, I have to calm myself to type this post.

Anyways, as you all know, I've been planning this 13b Cosmo swap (in my mind) for awhile. Well, today I stumbled across a GSL-SE. After reading over the parts list for the swap, I was wondering if it would be cost-effective to buy this car considering the suspension and other stuff he has done.

Comments

(GSL-SE) Car has been well mantained. It has Racing Beat dual exhaust, light steel flywheel, strut brace, and sreet strip clutch and pressure plate. It has Eibach springs and Tokico shocks and struts. It has a K&N filter charger as well. Falken tires are pretty new. New brake rotors all around and rear calipers are new. I live in Kennesaw. Car is originally from N.Y. There is some surface rust on drivers side fender and header panel nothing serious considering age of car. It also has a stereo system that consist of two 8" bazooka tubes, MB quart speakers on door and in rear, Kenwood deck and Eq, Acoustic crossover, and Pheonix gold wiring. Amps are not included with the car. Has Viper alarm and cut off switch.

except for the stereo stuff and it being white it sounds like my car.

as far as it being cost effective, that depends on your budget and how much the car is

I know this doesn't help... but you never know what something is worth until you sell it, and on the other hand if you think this is a good deal and worth the money then go for it... I myself think the fb is a great car and have been working on the wreak I bought trying to get it road worthy... I paid less but then again its not on the highway either.... its your choice

So the question still stands, would buying this car be cost effective, or should I just buy a clunker and look for all the parts I'm going to need?

u can buy the car, drive till you get all the swap parts together or teh engine dies, and then get to swapping. but u already have a daily car, so maybe finding something with, pehaps a bad engine might fit your needs and pockets better.

My original idea:

car - $1000

engine - $1800

Tranny - $300

suspension - $500

Differential - <$100 (from a GSL-SE)

Clutch - $350

Ignition - ??

That's all I really know of at this point...That's why I was asking for advice to see what other people would suggest.

EDIT: I'm under the impression I will not need mounts if I go with this car.
