Anyone done this? what's the sound like? The muffler I am considering is a three chamber 50 series, 2" inlet with dual 2" outs.

I've heard that the flowmasters will give up under the heat stress and rust out. I've also heard that "Cherry bombs" are the percect backpressure for the car...though I don't know what it'll sound like. When I put my new exhaust on, I'm gonna try it. Only $30 down the drain if it sux!

Thanks! I didn't know that about the flowmasters' factory info. I put a Magnaflow on my departed F-150 truck and liked the sound. My understanding is that the M-flow is just a straight through with a lot of ceramic wool. Goof Proof?

I noticed that Racing beat's pipes are thicker than I would expect. (3/16" thick?) Is this what I need? Got to hook up the air pipe and a new cat though. Help!

I got this one muffler on my car and it sounds....well its almost indescribable. Its like at idle you can almost hear the rotors rotating. Its like a little woosh with almost a sound like a ball rattleing around in the header. Then at anything above 3000RPM it makes fantastic noise and almost sounds exactly like a Jap Bike. Then when it revs down in a down shift or something it has the rumble of a mustang combined in it. I'll see if I can make an MP3. I think its kinda neat. But I wanna get a new muffler like a nice Soup Can Import one or something. But a flowmaster would be quite nice.
