After over a year, with alot of help from my friend Guch, I finally got my car back on the road. The Turbo conversion is amost complete. Just getting the bugs worked out on it. What little bit that I've gotten to drive it so far, the only thing that I can say it is going to be FAST. Can't wait.

****...Nice set up ..if you dont mind...can you post your set up?

What size/brand turbo?

I want to see what you intercooler looks like..what is it off from what brand?etc..

What year engine..

The set up is nice..and what pattern rims are them?

for a GSLSE?

Im asking these questions..cause I got a first gen..and want to convert it to turbo..I want to stay with the 12A for have it forced through the top of the carb..

Any tips you can give me ..let me know plz...

My AIM is aznbossplayer

if you have AIM contact me plz..

Howmany HP you think you will be running ..and what port did you go with?

bigtime 09-26-2002 02:25 PM

very nice... beside the wing...... WELL SOMEONE HAD TO SAY IT!

Viperx7 09-26-2002 03:29 PM

Thanks guys! I'll try to answer a few of the questions.

The "block" is an 87 Turbo with everything else from an 89 Turbo. Everything is pretty much stock for now, except for the large street port and Blitz BOV.

The intercooler is from a Starion. Figured I would put it behind the mesh for the bushwhack effect. If your standing in front of the car, it's very hard to see. They will never know what hit them. :smirk:

The rims are ROH Snypers and are non-SE.

About the throttle body cap, I didn't know there was a difference. What does the other look like?

I've gotta few bugs to work out in the car, being it's been sitting for over a year. I can't wait to get it all squared away.

Not sure on HP yet. I want to get to 300 rwhp for now.

All the TII ones look like that. You'd need to modify that one, or find a Greddy elbow or something. Its a much straighter shot to the TB with one of those.

Thanks dude. When you get one, you'll have to visit the shop we have down here. The owner is a rotary guru. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

I live in Fayetteville, Georgia...my family used to have a lakehouse on Wedowee until we sold it, sadly.

About how far away is this shop, or what part of Alabama is it closest to? If and when I get an RX7, I'm strongly considering coming over there!

The shop is actually in Columbus, GA. Down here(Columbus, GA, Phenix City, AL and Smiths, AL) are all right together and I forget that sometimes when I tell people about the shop and they see my address. It kinda confuses people. I hope that made sense. :yinyang:

Felix Wankel 09-30-2002 03:53 AM

If I ever have a day with nothing to do I plan to go down there.

Dysfnctnl85 09-30-2002 10:05 PM

Yeah, I gotcha...well now I just need to work on the car...my main problem is convicing my parents that it's worth X amount of dollars for a car that's almost 10 years old (I'm looking at FDs; if I had time and more rotary intelligence I would probably buy a first gen...). They told me they would buy me a car to replace the failing Cherokee I have. I found a few prospects, but it's the convincing that's the hardest thing to do.

Any advice? Haha.
