Whoa! - that is a horse of a different color. Haven't seen any other posts to answer your question, and all I've got is a Hayne's manual. That said, my book shows a VERY different harness between the 12A and 13B cars. That plus the 13B fuel injection fuel pump puts out a LOT higher pressure than the 12A carb models. At a minimum youi need a pressure regulator or else you will flood the engine from that high fuel pressure.

As to the spark question, the power flow on your car goes from the ignition switch to a Main Relay to the coils which fire the igniter. Control of the coils comes from the ecu. Problem could be anywhere along that chain. According to the schematics, the 12A cars ignition comes directly from the switch to the coils and igniter with no ecu input.

By lights in the car do you mean interior lights or dash lights?
