Help

I've got a 13b (used) installed and can't get it to start. I checked and so far I have fuel, and spark. I'll add more later.

Thumbs up

When I try to start it, it fires as long as I have the starter revving.

adding to the list, removed smog pump removed acv and blocked currently exaust is not hooked up, new battery, checked igniters, compression good (ghetto method) I need more ideas on what to check

Thanks

Sounds like the engine is flooded. Or at least it has the symptoms. And if its a 13B, its FI (Am I right?). Its got compression, spark and fuel - which means it should start. Since it wont start, try putting your foot to the floor until it starts. Might be too rich a fuel mixture for proper combustion, just needs more air. But since it is Electronic in some sense, maybe theres a vacum line or something not hooked up or criss-crossed. Poke around.

how long was teh engine sitting? try letting teh rotors soak in either ATF or MMO overnight and retry.

also get a new set of spark plugs if u havent already.

was this an FI converted to carb?

it would help alot if u said exactly what u did and what you were attempting.

Pull start it. Sometimes after they sit a while it is the only way to get one started

timing possibly since no one else has mentioned it... and pull starting is usually your best bet

Update: I was considering pull starting but I thought I'd re-check a few things first (thanks to Chris) I found no fuel getting to 2nd rotor. **** here we go again does anyone know how or where to test injectors???
