Dash On An 83?

how hard is it to remove the top, its been a really long time since i did it on an 83 style dash

Thats a damn good question.Doesn't seem to be that many screws to it unless some are hidden.Why???Are you getting yours redone?

ok, I just spent the last 3 days taking out my dash and associated parts. If you give me another day or so, I'll write up some kind of psuedo "how to" with pics and post it on my web site.

i dont need a how to, i just cant remember if its easier to pull the dash top off or take the whole mess out and take it apart out side the car

Its easier to take the dash top off. Its just finding the nuts to undo, and then getting a socket to them. I had to take out the instrument cluster and take out all the glove box and stuff like that as you'd expect.

hmm, i might just yank the whole thing, on a usa 84-85 taking the whole dash out is easy
