i have the opposite problem... my foot slowly creeps down, and i'm looking at the wrong side of the speed limit...

ok, i got my hopes up for nothing. that switch was the (disconnected) rear wiper switch. at least now the rear wiper works... whoever resprayed this car did a terrible job of putting it back together. there is a blanking plate next to the rear wiper switch tho, so i'm guessing where the button would go.
i THINK i found the wiring leading to it. 3 wires, female plug, all matching the wiring colours according to the factory service manual. time to source a switch for it. on that note, does anyone have a good link to what other cars these puppies share parts with (switchgear, washer pumps etc). surely mazda didn't develop generic parts like that just for these cars. and gen 1's are thin on the ground at the wrecking yards around here. all they had in 85 was the rx7, 626,323 and the truck |
