Good Luck on the Slave today;

Like I stated before, I also upgraded my Clutch when I put this Machine back together last month and the same bullshit happened to me.

I think what happens is that the New Clutch puts alot more back pressure on the old slave and it may may not be able to handle it???

Hell I could be wrong, but I went through all the same steps that you have done and finally gave up and bought a new one. Instant Fix.

I hope the same results will come your way.

Wasn't the slvae but it is nice to have a new one anyways.I think its the clutch slave hose.the rubber one.I can hear air being sucked into it.I need to replace it I guess and take it from there.

After installing the thermostat and readjusting the total advance on the distributer

to 24/16, she slides into gear at full throttle. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

Maybe if I baby her, she'll last 'til next January when I'll have more available

money. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

Luis;

Sorry to hear that!

We where all pulling for ya on this one.

Hopefully the Line replacement will solve all. :yum:

If it does not, then it has to be the Clutch Master Cylinder.

Gots my fingers crossed that its just the line. Hey at least one good thing. You now have a (New Slave)!

Here's a Brain Fart for ya. Did you Prime the Slave 1st???

I did not do that to mine and it took forever to get the air out of the system!

Good Luck

sgieldon

P.S. Need some help from you or Mike on Hows the BEST way to set the Timing up becides Stock????

With the timing on the stock dizzy just read that section on the haynes manual.It tells how to adjust the two seperatly.That line should fix it tommorow.I can hear air escaping thru the fitting at the slave.I bled the hell out of the slave only to pull it back out to change the line. :rant:

It's a easy job if the clutch components are good afterwards.Justs remember to check the flywheel before you install the pressure plate.

Every supplier up here can't get that POS.Can you build a clutch hose from a SS line??If so what AN fittings would I need?

Thanks

Luis

BTW: I'm still waiting on one more store but I doubt they can get it either. :rant:

If I get these problems with these little parts I can't wait to do another swap.I would love to find parts for a 20B cosmo engine in North America. :rant:
