First i had to pry the light assemblys apart...not really much fun...but since they're held together with 20 year old super glue its not too hard...then you gotta get the lense inserts out...they've got a tab on top and bottom that aren't too hard to get out...just takes a standard screwdriver or a knife...as for the rotors on the lense i made a stencil...printed it out on card stock...then i put alluminum tape over it...and left enough on the edges so i could stick it to the smooth side on the lenses

A hobby knife really comes in handy for this stuff...aaaand...some alcohol incase you overspray...put that stuff on a q-tip and the paint will come right off...with a little elbow grease

I've made up a little picture here showing some of the "steps"

1. The light housing disasembled and cleaned

2. The paper rotor cutout

3. Rotor cutout with alluminum tape on it

4. Alluminum tape trimmed

5. Ready for painting

I didn't really feel like making 2 stencils...so I took some paper towels and wrapped them over the half of the assembly i didn't want to paint yet...then let it dry...switched the stencil and covered the part i already painted with some more paper towels...its not too hard to do...then you slap the thing back together and seal it up...I used about half a tube of adhesive calk making sure it wouldn't leak dirt in again

You should make a few sets and sell 'em on ebay. It doesn't seem like it took you too long to make them either, so the pay back should be nice at least enough money to buy you some beer..hehehe

lol...thats if I could find any assemblys without huge cracks or holes...I just got lucky on those two...the car I got them from had a blown engine and an almost perfect body...so gobs-a-goodies
