Upgrade to DLIDFIS ignition is a nice cheap upgrade.

I "borrowed" a DIS ignition coil from a 3.1L chev V6 and am using my mazda

ignitor to fire it.

Nobody mentioned mechanical secondaries?! Probably the biggest bang for the buck IMO. Cost, $0, the enjoyment of excellent throttle response, priceless.
