I am in the process of replacing my brakes, and they are on but they still sqeal like crazy. Someone told me that I need a brake kit after he looked at them. He said it is a spring like device that keeps the tension of the pads off the rotor. He said that my car is missing it.

Does anyone know where to get this and if there are any pictures of what this is supposed to look like, or even a FAQ?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe he means the anti-rattle spring?

Download a parts list: http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/1st_gen_manuals.htm . Has diagrams.
