Obviously the wing is there for a purpose. When you have a high powerd FB/SA you need all the traction you can get in the rear, even at 70 mph you can break the tires loose. That would add a lot of downforce.

1Revvin7- yeah right... I wish I had the $ to do that.

Since I'm the driver /owner of the car I was asked by Combat to make some comment about the car in the movie:

The engine is from the beginning an ex-Mandeville IMSA-GTU engine complete with all the parts from the time like MFR-peripheral housings, internal dry-sump, alu-waterpump with attachment points for the mechanical Bosch/Kugelfisher fuel injection and so on. The current project is to re-install the original crankshaft with 13G-rotors and alu-flywheel. The gearbox is a Mazda Competition with dog-leg 1st gear

Regarding the body this is done by ourselves. Since the car is quite low and the wheels are very large (18x9" rims with 640mm tyres) none of the bodies from the old days are possible to use since they were made for much smaller wheels. All the bodypanels except the roof and the doors are made in GFRP.

The car is used in a class in Scandinavia called Supercar/Thundercars. Originally we were driving in the small class (for engines <2500 cc) but we were this year able to win the series overall. And to be able to do that, we beat some Corvettes, IMSA-GTO Camaros and Porsche GT2 Turbos ...

I will try to push Combat to make a little movie from this year with highlights from the different races.

The car is actually for sale if anyone is interested. For more information send a mail to mohlinsmide@tele2.se

And heres a video of it in action.
