Well, Im not sure wat Im going to do with it yet. Im either going to do another 12A, or a 13BT, but I dont know how or when yet. I have no job, no money, and no other transportation to look for a job, so Im kinda between a rock and a rotor face (as Jerk Racer said, lol).



Idealy, I want to get a daily driver and then I would like to drop a 13BT in there because Im kinda done with the N/A engines. I figure Ive experianced enough of them for now. Mine may have been a little on the weak side becasuse of low compression, but I dont think a ported engine would even be that significant. My goals are just too high to not have a turbo, lol.



In reality, I dont know whats going to happen...

Go with a 12A turbo then.

Thought about that too, and that was my original plan all along. I was going to turbo my setup I have now. But, I dont think thats very workable right now either.

Not to digress, but what does it feel like to loose compression in the rear rotor, or either rotor for that matter? Yes, losing compression is bad thing and that means you could have a bad seal.

Well, loosing compression in a rotor is a sign of a bad seal somewhere. Most commonly the apex seal with is what seals that chambers from eachother. When these seals go bad, it requires a full disassembly of the engine to replace them, so in other words, a rebuild. Sometimes you can squeeze by with just replaceing the bad seals (IE - only the apex seals) and re-using the others, then sealing it back up with a gasket kit. Other times, its necessary to replace more if not all of the seals because theyre out of spec.



As far as what it feels like, it basically runs absoloutly shitty. It will have no power, and takes about 1/2-3/4 throttle and feathering the clutch just to get anywhere. This of course all depends on how bad the seal is. If its a small crack thats just leaking an excessive amount, it would obviously run better than a car that shattered the seal or threw a chunk of it out the exhaust. I described a little more what it was like to me with my car in the thread I linked to earlier, although that forum is down right now.



Low compression on the other hand, can just be a slow or weak feeling car. I think thats what my car was doing before it died. Although, a car simply out of tune can show some pretty gloomy symtoms...

yeah, it sucks to blow a seal. the car gets real load too. but both of mine that blew still got me home.SLOWLY, but got me there. now i have a pretty, shiny bumblebee in my car. stupid starter didn't work though. that cramped my style.tomarrow. well good luck and glad to see your in a better mood now.
