Trying to find out where the front wiper relay is so I can see if its bad or just not working properally on my 83 GSL. The wipers work but after a few times or minutes they will stop, where ever they are and then start going again.

 

It looks to be a little square relay located behind your instrument panel(looking at it from driver's seat)at the lower left side under left gauge.It appears to have 6 wire s coming from it in this sequence

(top)black, blue/yellow, blue

(bottom)blue/orange, light green, blue/black

I do have the Hayes manual but it dosent help me to much as far as some as the small stuff I need to find on this car. I'll get one from a just yard or something and swap them to see if thats the problem.

Umm, I'm not sure but I still cant find it. I looked at mine and then went to a junk yard with a few of the 7's dash's riped appart and I still cant find it. Is it a cretain color? or size? <_<

 

This thread is fairly ancient, but in case you haven't found it yet, the relay box is black, 2.5 " long X 1.75" tall and wide... <_<
