|
I had the same problem 2 weeks ago on my 83.I plan on new bearings for both sides. They're cheap enough.
|
you need both, get the seal too
|
Thanks... got it all replaced... now just to find out why the car pulls to the right... is there a way to change the caster?... i'm off a degree from side to side...
How much did you pay to have it all replaced? According to the book it will allow a little movement at the top nuts. |
Post up your alignment settings. I can help with this.
Also, is the wheel fighting you when you are trying to go straight, or just sitting crooked when you go straight? |
here is the allignment info, i replaced the bearing myself they were around $15 and there are 4 of them... i replaced all the suspension stuff as well... my question is can i change the caster with the tension rods?... and i set the camber all the way out on both sides but it's further on one side so i need to pull that one in...
the car pulls to the right meaning to go straight i have to hold the wheel off to the left slightly... if i let go the car will switch lanes all on it's own Thanks Shay |
15 bucks for wheel bearings? Man, I'm steamed. MazdaTrix charges almost 100 dollars for both, with races..
|
Mine came with new races too... they are even made in japan.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png problem is i couldn't get the old races out but they were in really good shape and didn't have any measurable wear...
