Air Pump ?

im working on the 7 today, im going to remove the air pump after a long cold winter thank god for summer. do I need to do that yoohoo belt thing like on 1300cc.com they use it on a 2nd gen?

dont have the cash for the dual belt pully so I had to order the belt no one in town had one

is it going to smoke now that the air pump is off. I started it to day and it smoked and poped

it shouldnt smoke and they usually pop less
