im working on the 7 today, im going to remove the air pump after a long cold winter thank god for summer. do I need to do that yoohoo belt thing like on 1300cc.com they use it on a 2nd gen?

dont have the cash for the dual belt pully so I had to order the belt no one in town had one

it shouldnt smoke and they usually pop less

The car has been sitting for a while. I start it a few times a week and drive it up and down the drive way. I removed the rest of the emmisions today with Rotaryman88. it still smokes a little and pops im not real worried about the smoke. I checked the coolant no signs of O ring problems. And the motor feels strong as an ox for 135k on it. You might look for an exhaust leak, that would ba a possible cause of popping

on decel.
