[quote name='Dysfnctnl85' date='May 8 2005, 11:06 PM']Yeah, that confirms what the guys on the Club said...since the outer bearing is the same, one would think the rotors and hubs would fit on just peachy. Pictures would make this much easier. I'm going to stop buy Pull-A-Part tomorrow and see if the '87 they have there is a 5-lug.

If I end up doing this I'll do a nice writeup with pictures. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Sweet, you're gonna either be pinned to the seat or hanging from the harness in your car eh? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

That's the goal!

I've never driven a car w/o ABS and I've never driven a car as fast as I HOPE this one will be.

I just want to make sure I don't put it into a tree on the maiden voyage https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png.

Good news fellas, I found some 4 piston calipers waiting to be taken at a local junkyard.

On Wednesday I'm going to pack the toolbox and after work run by and take everything I need. I'll be rebuilding the calipers and polishing them up a bit, but a writeup will follow the installation of the new hubs and calipers.

Well ******'-A I didn't get the strut catridge assembly and apparently I need that. I disassembled the new calipers and took the old brakes off the car only to realize that the strut assembly for the FBs is vastly different than what's necessary to mount my new hubs. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

Looks like I'll be making a trip back to Pull-A-Part sometime this week. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

in theory all you need is an inner bearing thats fits the fc hub on the fb spindle

I tried playing around with your idea and got the inner bearing OUT of the old hub but I can't seem to get the inner bearing out of the FC hub. The FB one was held in by a metal strip and rubber, but it appears the FC one is held in only by rubber and I don't want to risk breaking anything...

Dysfnctnl85 05-24-2005 09:34 AM

Is it even possible for the FB inner bearing to fit in the FC hub?
