Ok, the seller finally got back to me and said that he wants to sell it for 2500. I think it's a great deal for how many miles and the condition of the vehicle. Good thing is that he will do the inspection for me if I were to buy the vehicle, and whatever is needed he would do for free. So brakes for free if needed, etc.

What do you all think of this deal? I like it so far, and he said I could come by and drive it, but I don't think it is going to start up without doing alot of work to it.

Thanks

Justin

if it wont start without a lot of work its not worth 2500. maybe 1500 with good compression and in reeeeeaaaaally good shape

I think that if it won't start it is just battery first thing, and if it is not that, than just carbon buildup. The body is in SUPERB shape, I only counted one ding on the rear quarter panel, that is about the size of a dime, and some surface rust on the sunroof, but what RX-7 does not have that problem with the sunroof.

I certainly will get pictures. Something like this, I would have to get a loan for, because I don't have that amount of cash right now.

IMO $2500 is a bit much. I would'nt take a loan on, for a 20 y/o car. If I were you if the car starts up and the motor is good I'd offer him $1000-1500 and only b/c of the low miles.

Yeah, you have a point about the car being 20 years old. But I can always take out a personal loan, and not a car loan. But I think the bank would want a receipt for whatever you buy on a personal loan. ****!

I think the seller just has way to much sentimental value. Hell, I should just offer him 1000 as it is sits right now. It needs tires, I know DAMN well it is going to need struts/shocks, brakes, brake lines, all filters, new gaskets. It is has been sitting for a while now.

Hell, they had one of those little oil change stickers on the window, and it was dated back in 1999. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

I will be going by there on Sunday with a camera, and hopefully he will be open on Sunday.

I pulled up the Kelley Blue Book value of the car, and I gave it a fair condition value, and it is valued at 1,405 bucks. I think this guy has too much of a sentimental value on the vehicle.

I will see what happens on Sunday though.
