I just got my 1985 gsl yesterday and i'm brand new to rx7's... It ran fine yesterday, but the gas guage doesn't work properly and it almost ran out of gas. Now it'll start with a bit of difficulty and won't idle at all? It'll run if I rev it up but as soon as I let off the gas it dies. Someone said up above to pull the manual choke out? I'm pretty dumb... where is it?? Should I pull it, start it, let it warm up, and just leave everything as it is? Is this something you need to do very offen? Thanks for anyone's help! I really, really appreciate it!

ok i'll answer this so no one else has to. the choke is just to the left of your steering wheel. pump the gas pedal before you start it, pull the choke out and then turn the key. if the choke is working right it will stay out until the car is warmed up, then it will slide back in by itself. youre gonna have to rev it for a few minutes to warm it up.

if you just try to drive off it wont hold idle and if you rev it too high too soon you can warp the engine.

congrats on the new seven, and welcome.
