https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif i want to add a 6 port header to my Gsl-SE. I also want to run dual straight pipe all the way to the back (no Priselencer). Can I just drill a whole and add a small pipe so I can connect it to the 6 ports? is there a specific location that I have to drill the whole so I get enough back pressure so the ports open correctly?

I would like to know the same thing. I was told someone built a system that opened them electronically. I have searched and read and searched but to no avail.

Someone please help.

Otherwise I'm gonna have to get creative and we definitely don't want that!

OK you made me do it.

This is on a Holley 6 port intake manifold not using the inserts.

1. Connects up to the secondaries and opens at wide open throttle.

2. Ball bearngs or bushins hold the plate true.

3. O-ring, circlip and retainer plate keep it in place.

4. Order the correct throttle plate and shaft size for your application.

When I get this working it should allow better intake velocity to the secondary ports and allow for rate of adjustment of flow to auxiliaries.

I just wired mine open. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png You won't last long running dual straight pipes on the street before the pigs nail you for noise.I should know.My last exhaust system lasted 2 weeks before I had to change it to my N1 setup I have now.I even had to put a muffler under the car next to the header to keep the fuckers happy.

there have been many threads about this and some crazy ideas but i have never seen one quite unique as yours, it may be hard trying to find the right pieces and machining the manifold for that but cool nonetheless, there is a electronic/solenoid system but some have said that it's too messy and expensive for the results. depending on how open your exhaust may be it might be hard getting enough backpressure to open actuators. there is some info over on team, do a search and i'm sure you will find tons of threads. i like your idea though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Yes "rotary632" you can drill a hole and add the back-pressure return pipe to your dual set-up. In fact Racing Beat use to sell the return pipe seperatly for this. But as "Big Turbo" mentioned you may have to tune it to get the proper amout of pressure to the acutators.

Also it helps to make sure your actuators are tuned (clean, lubricated, smooth and unbent) aswell.

As far as "Army of One's" idea with the butterflies (ie: Rotary V-tech) I like it and it's something I've thought about myself. I just never got around to testing it. Suggestion: You may want to consider making a seperate plate for your butterfly system something that would fit in between the manifold and the housings. This way you can play with it, change things and tune it without having to change the whole manifold each time. Plus you can sell it as a add-on that way later on when your done.

Let us know your progress..

If you're still looking for a header, the Mazdatrix 6 port header has the sensing tube bung on the header itself. The RB version had the bung on one of the presilencers. Appearantly, the Mazdatrix version opens the ports sooner.
