my gslse has 2 problems wierd ones too.

1. when i try and go fast and shift from 1st to second hard, the car will bog, if i shift slower its fine

2. top of third gear (6500rpms) it will stumble and shoot black smoke out the rear, it will rev to 8500in second and its fine but 6500+ in 3rd it wont do? i'm thinking either the injectors are locking wide open, or it doesnt have enough spark?

i really dont know where to start looking for these, so i'm open to suggestions

Almost sounds like there is too much fuel at the top of third.Have you tested the fuel pressure to the TB?Do you have good plugs in it?Are your cap and rotor still in good shape?

 

new cap, rotor and plugs (the old ones were really bad)

i was thinking about checking the fuel pressure, hmm
