by the time i 'm starting the 12a to 13bt swap on my 1st gen.i hope that the 13b would fit to my 1st gen tranny.but i don't know which clutch and pressure plate should i use(12a or 13bt?).shall i use 2nd gen clutch with 1st gen gearbox?

i also want to fit a L.S.D diff from 84-85.i know gsl-se got different axles(and wheel bolt circle also) from my 81 so i have to swap the whole rear-end.can i swap the axles, the diff.,of course the brakes but keep my old housing?

Best bet if your gonan do a 13bt swap is finding a Turbo II trans..

Its suppose to be good for 400 hp or 400 lbs of torque..either way its the best..



You cannot use GSLSE rearend..and put pre 84 axels..they are smaller..



If you want a LSD with 4x110 lug pattern/BUT it has a 3.90 gear..I can get them for you..



Pinion gear sets are expensive..BUT you can change them..

OR if you want a GSLSE Ft end..I know wheres theres one..its rough BUT its all there...

As of now..I have a 12A in it ...With help from others here I can used the FT cover of a 12A to a 13B ..and I can get a 13B with tranny for $250.

BUT im not in no rush to swap or port anything now..Im gonan drive my car untill Nov?Then park it ..then redo it all..maybe by spring time..So we can take an Import run to Daytona Beach...



Im thinking of getting the 13B done...and just going that route...

before starting with the engine swap i want to know if it's better to look for a transmission too.is it possible for 2nd gen trans to fit on my 1st gen in order to handle the 13bt extra torque?

Yes you can fit a second gen tranny in a first gen..



I can get some LSD but from a 82/83 GSL meaning the lug pattern will be 4x110...GSLSE is 4x4.5 ..



Tell me if you want the LSD from the 82-83..where do u live?
