I have an '85 FB- and was considering a swap to a twin T eventually. Ive come across a twin-turbo motor, dude asking $950 for it. It includes the ECU, but no tranny. Dude says it has an oil leak, and that the oil pan gasket needs replacing. Motor is still in the car- running and can be heard.
My questions are:
1- Can we inspect the motor to see that it's only the oil pan gasket that needs replacing?
2- If things checks out, is this a good deal? Do I jump on this? Keep in mind tranny is not included.
