Rotary Vw?

i realy did not know where to post this so sorry if it is out of place.

my question was how can a rotary get dumped into a beatle tranny? is it possable?

will it fit if anybody has info on this subject please tell me thanks

Its possible. Its been done before, I've got an old rotary magazine with a whole write up on it. I'll dig it out later and post some info for you.

there is a compant that sells an adaptor to mount a rotary in an old bug, sorrt though I don't remember the company name. I think it's kennedy something

Ok, I dug out the article, I'll scan some parts of it later and post them up for you, but I'll tell you some bits now. umm... Its aussie, The guy that did it fit a 12a into the back but had overheating problems, so he fitted the radiator in the front of the car where the spare tyre is/was, made a scoop under the bumper to scoop the air up, then ran the water piping down the trans tunnel with the trans.He used an adapter kit so no reworking of teh transaxle was required....theres no engine mounts originally cos the transaxle is mounted in 3 places, but he recommends you make some for the conversion...and apparently he beats porshes. Thats about it. Oh it blabs on about the brakes and suspension as well.
