My brother has a 83 rx-7 5 speed that i am thinkin about buyin off of him to fix up. The car has alot of problems but i am a motorhead and like a challange. The only thing that would stop me from gettin it is the fact that the clutch is very touchy, anyway i was wondering is this a problem or is this normal and if it is normal can i get an aftermarket clutch that i can floor and pop

Sounds like a dying clutch.I wouldn't worry about a aftermarket one for awhile till the mods get the power way up there.Just replace it with a OEM one.I was going to go with a Racing Beat Street/Strip setup but mine is stock port so I won't waste the money on a better clutch. If I give it a huge street port then I'll upgrade it later on.My clutch engages just a bit above the halfway point on the pedal. It has new everything tho.

After mine is broken in then I want to try some 4000rpm jumps off it. then do some serious drifting.
