You could try applying to Blockbuster video, or any movie theater. I'd steer away from fast food, just because it's more likely to remain low-pay due to the popularity.

At 16, I don't think there are any good opportunities.....

Your work permit should state that you can only work 8 hrs during the week, & 16 or so during the weekend.

man i need a work permit!? what in the hell.

r0t0r-rooter 10-20-2003 09:56 PM

Yeah, you need one as long as you are in school; until you turn 18. It's most likely not a big deal, unless your employer is ever asked to show proof (fines).

You have to ask your counselor for the form to be completed by your employer https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

yeah its not that big a deal, i believe they are good for 6 months or something. and then you just re-new it.

I would first say don't work if you don't absolutely have to. You have the rest of your life to do so.

I think in this state workers permits are required at 15 only. Once you turn 16 you are good to go, or not so good to go, depending upon whether you like work or not.

Some considerations may be car washes or being a little biotch for a car repair place or parts counter. A place like Jiffy Lube might hire you.

well right now im working at BMW and ive worked there for over a year, in need of a new job because they took away one of the shifts that me and my brother used to work (5 1/2 hours every other week) and we cant afford our car insurance anymore.

Eric Happy Meal 10-21-2003 04:36 PM

wait, make that 11 hours every other week. which is a littlre over 175 a month that were missing out on.
