of course, proper soldering techniques need to be learned by someone!

I hate pulling old tape off of wires, I stick to everything after. On the other hand, everyone wants to do it that way, so I make some money doing it right.

ralph was joking that the british (i never honk the horn in my tr3!) had a nasty habit of wrapping the wire that goes bad around all the other wires therby reducung the entire harness to a lump of charcoal, is this you?

TYSON 11-29-2006 08:59 PM

I'm impressed, that looks like a nice kit.

wow thats the way my engine wiring harness and radio looked before i had to rip it all out and rewire it. its sux to have to redo all the wiring with a solder gun and shrink wrap but in the long run its all worth it because you'll never have to do it again

mmmm https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif Banzai doesnt solder, neither does Boeing/Airbus or NASA.

I use milspec solder-crimps

jwteknix 12-14-2006 09:14 PM

i havent ever tried those. ive used those regular crimps, their ok for a temperary thing, but soldering always gets the job done and once you learn how to do it it's really not to hard and that shrink wrap stuf is awsome

where do u get those milspec things? and are they any thing like the regular crimps
