I have been emailing, calling, and looking everywhere all over the country for someone willing to cut up there junk Rx2 to get some metal to fix my 72 coupe. I have found a few people who say they will, and then never come through.

So I'm asking now. This is what I need. Pics and descriptions below...

So if you know someone or somewhere I can get this from, PM me asap or send them a link to this thread. This would be greatly appreciated. And would bring another Rx2 back to life!!!

This is needed so i can weld in my new frame rails. I do not believe the metal there is strong enough for me to weld in good clean new metal. So i would like to replace it with un-rusted metal. What I need is inside the red lines below. I do not need it to be in one piece. What I mainly need is there area half way up the fire wall down to the seat bracket area. I need each side. I really don't need the trans tunnel. There must be ZERO rust on the metal. I'm located in Kissimee, Florida.

I will also need both rear quarter panels and the lower rocker from front to rear on the passenger side. A clean set of front fenders would be nice also. Put the word out!!!

You are going to have to fabricate your own. I picked up some 18Ga friday to start on mine.

http://allmetalshaping.com is a great site to learn how.

I started on mine, here is a shot of spotweld removal.

Thanks for that link. I signed up last week. I have been wanting to learn to form metal for a while now. I am a certified welder and machinist. Learning to form metal is my missing link in becoming a full on fabricator in my eyes...

Thanks again.

Oh the reason I wanted stock metal form another car was to keep the car "original". I have since changed plans and am going to re-do everything. I'll get another shell for the "original" project.
